Pushing the Story: A Fiction Writing Weekend
Been working on your novel or your short stories? Eager to push something toward completion? Join us for Pushing the Story, an intensive workshop experience for fiction writers. Award-winning author Patricia Ann McNair (The Temple of Air) will lead participants through generative writing activities and revision strategies designed to help recognize and move toward rendering finished work. Participants will be provided study packets with solid literary models and craft essays, information on submitting work, markets, writerly websites and cover letters. In addition to the workshop experience, a limited number of enrollees may also sign up for a 25-minute, one-on-one manuscript consultation with Patricia on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday evening for an additional $35 fee. Students will receive additional information on how to sign up after they have registered for the workshop. Students selected the consultation option must be prepared to send one piece of no more than 15 pages of double-spaced prose (12 point font) by October 29, 2015.
