Dear Members:
April is not just for poetry any more. Not that we don’t love poetry at Michigan Writers – in fact, we’d love to read your favorite poem on the radio! However, the events coming up this month include reading and writing of all genres. Scroll down for announcements and reminders about just some of the happenings in our vibrant writing community.
But first, please consider helping fellow member
Lori Hall Steele at a reception and benefit auction on April 12. Lori, a Traverse City-based writer, suffers from a paralyzing neurological condition that has yet to be diagnosed but has confined her to a wheelchair. Signed books, art, music, and a variety of other goods and services will be auctioned off to help Lori pay her mounting medical bills. The event starts at 7 p.m. in The Mercato in Building 50 of The Village at Grand Traverse Commons in Traverse City.
