E-mail EdictLooking for our catch-all e-mail address? Well, we don't have one - but we do want to hear from you.
MW is a volunteer organization run by volunteer writers interested in meeting, connecting with, and having actual conversations with other writers. We're not staffed to respond to SPAM, random link requests, sales pitches, and all the other (insert your own adjective here) traffic that our "info" e-mail box generated.
If you have a specific suggestion or concern that you can't find addressed anywhere on our website, we do want to hear it and you can e-mail us.
For questions about Dunes Review, e-mail dunes.review@yahoo.com.
For questions about the Chapbook Contest, e-mail 3loons@charter.net.
To send items for MW E-News, e-mail msteinorth@chartermi.net.
For questions about the website or to add calendar items, e-mail mardi5@charter.net.
All other concerns or questions should be sent in a letter and mailed to the address above. Write on!

Frequently Asked Questions Why should I join MW? To meet other writers; to attend free craft, publishing, and marketing workshops and member potlucks; to be eligible to submit your work to the MW Co-op Press Chapbook Contest; to get a subscription to Dunes Review; to find out about upcoming literary events in Northern Michigan; to apply for scholarships to select writers conferences and retreats; to support the dynamic literary culture in our community; to declare yourself a writer! All this for only $40 a year. Join here.
Can I submit my work to Dunes Review? Absolutely! Dunes Review is published twice a year, in June and December and includes original poetry, short fiction, prose, and interviews with writers. Guidelines here.
What is MW's Chapbook Contest? This is our member-only publishing initiative designed to help members publish and gain a readership for their work. The Co-operative Press publishes up to three chapbooks annually selected from entries received btw Nov. 1 and Dec. 31. Winning authors share the printing costs and marketing responsibilities as well as the proceeds from sales. Guidelines here. I have a published book. Can MW help me market it? MW is a support group, not a marketing group but by joining you will meet other writers, many published, who have used many creative ways to reach the marketplace. In addition, MW offers periodic workshops on the business side of publishing and writing. These are either free to members or members enjoy reduced registration fees. The schedule of all of upcoming MW workshops is here.
I'm already a member of MW; how can I volunteer? In dozens of ways. Maybe you'd like to help with our membership drive, start a critique group, organize one of our potlucks, suggest a workshop, or even join the Board. Have ideas? E-mail Elaine McIntosh at em4357@aol.com.
Can I get my literary event on MW's calendar? Yes! Email the event specifics (date, place, time, cost, if any) to mardi5@charter.net. If possible, send information at least a month in advance.
